Mobile Home Fair Practices Commission

A limited-purpose commission that meets intermittently as needed to consider (approve or deny) hardship rent increase requests submitted by mobile home park owners who want to increase space rents beyond what the Mobile Home Rent Control Ordinance allows per year. The commission also considers petitions for interpretation of the ordinance as submitted by landlords and tenants. Established under Indio Municipal Code Chapter 99 (Ordinance No. 892, adopted 1984). Commissioners must be resident electors who are neither mobile home owners, tenants, landlords, operators, nor managers.
