The Planning Board is established to advise the City Council on matters related to land use and community development. It consists of ten members—seven appointed by the Hendersonville City Council and three appointed by the Henderson County Board of Commissioners representing the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). Governed by NC General Statutes Chapter 160D-301 and Chapter 40, Article II of the City's Code of Ordinances.
