Financing Authority

The La Quinta City Council serves as the Board of Directors for the Financing Authority. The Financing Authority is a legal-capacity body through which the City conducts certain financing activities. It meets on a special-meeting basis, typically once or twice per year (usually in June, occasionally in December), rather than on a regular recurring schedule. All five City Council members sit as the Financing Authority Board of Directors.

Financing Authority Adopts Budget Sustaining $10M Power Substation Funding

Authority approved its 2026-27 budget, funded by Measure G transfers, continuing support for IID electrical infrastructure advanced via a $10 million general fund loan.
