The committee scheduled a resolution supporting California Assembly Bill 1537 directly to the Feb. 3 Council consent calendar. The state bill would prohibit peace officers from working with—or volunteering for—any entity engaged in immigration enforcement, and would block sharing immigration-related information except as required by law.
