Council Bans Bikes on Sidewalks, Sends Back Trash Can Rules

Following a May presentation on the growing number of e-bikes on Rio Vista sidewalks, the council unanimously introduced an ordinance repealing and reenacting Chapter 10.24 of the Municipal Code — the city's first comprehensive regulation of bicycles, e-bikes, and motorized scooters in years.
